Auditory Learning Style

A person with an auditory learning style learns best by listening. Music, video clips, and conversations are their preferred modes of instruction.

Auditory learners perform well in traditional school settings, listening to lectures and participating in discussions.

A Multimedia curriculum is also beneficial for improving auditory learning skills.

An auditory learner, for example, will remember information about a new math concept if she can listen to the teacher explain or sing it and answer her questions. To practice the new concept, a physical learner may need to use blocks, an abacus, or other counting materials.
